The impact you'll make

As a Mechanical Engineer at Lam, you're designing and defining cutting-edge mechanical and electro-mechanical systems. Your role involves feasibility studies, testing, and guiding teams in detailed design and fabrication. You provide the crucial design information needed to shape our technology's packaging.

What you'll do

• Support the full life cycle of mechanical and electro-mechanical systems from concept to productization including conceptualization, designing, development and validation
• Designs components using variety of metals, ceramics, plastics and advanced coatings
• Perform engineering analyses (structural, thermal, FEA, flow, vibration, manufacturability) to optimize designs
• Develop feasibility studies and test plans to validate product performance and reliability
• Generate technical documentation, FMEA and specifications to deliver safe, manufacturable and cost-effective solutions
• Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams while providing technical guidance to junior engineers

Who we're looking for

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 5+ years of experience; or Master's degree with 3+ years; or equivalent experience
• Excellent communication, both written and verbal, and technical presentation skills
• Highly proficient in 3D CAD tools such as CREO, Siemens NX, ProE, SolidWorks, and others
• Hands-on experimental and design background coupled with solid engineering skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Semiconductor industry is a plus
• Experience in leading projects, or problem solving while managing time and multiple priorities
