About the Role
We are looking for a Fuel & Ground Handling Officer to join our Operations division.
This newly created role is central to ensuring the efficient, reliable, and cost-effective delivery of fuel and ground handling services across the entire Jetfly fleet. Acting as the operational owner of these critical activities, you will coordinate with airports, handlers, fuel suppliers, dispatch teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure our crews have the services they need, wherever they operate.
Supporting both Jetfly Fractional and Jetfly Management, you will oversee supplier performance, maintain a robust operational network, optimise processes, and contribute to delivering a consistent, high-quality operational experience across Europe. While cost awareness remains an important aspect of the role, your primary objective is to ensure operational excellence, service reliability, and continuous improvement.
This position is ideal for someone with strong operational coordination skills, a proactive mindset, and a thorough understanding of the aviation operating environment. You enjoy working with multiple stakeholders, solving operational challenges, and building strong supplier relationships in a fast-paced setting.
Job Description
Operational Management
- Manage the day-to-day coordination of fuel and ground handling services across the Jetfly network.
- Act as the primary point of contact for operational matters relating to fuel suppliers and ground handling agents.
- Ensure operational solutions are consistently aligned with flight planning requirements, aircraft performance, and customer service expectations.
- Maintain accurate operational information, including supplier capabilities, airport procedures, rate cards, and service agreements.
- Monitor operational issues and coordinate timely resolution with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Supplier Management & Network Development
- Support the development and maintenance of a reliable, high-performing network of fuel suppliers and ground handling partners across Europe.
- Build strong relationships with existing suppliers while identifying opportunities to expand and strengthen the network.
- Monitor supplier performance against agreed service levels and contribute to regular performance reviews.
- Support contract management by preparing operational data, benchmarking information, and supplier evaluations for review by the NPGO.
- Assist in supplier selection, onboarding, and continuous performance improvement initiatives.
Operational Optimisation
- Work closely with Flight Dispatch, OCC, Flight Operations, and Finance to ensure fuel and handling solutions are implemented efficiently during flight planning.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational processes, simplify workflows, and enhance service consistency across the network.
- Monitor the utilisation of fuel cards, fuel programmes, and operational platforms to maximise efficiency.
- Anticipate operational risks linked to airport restrictions, supplier limitations, pricing changes, or regulatory developments, and communicate recommendations proactively.
- Contribute to standardising best practices for fuel and handling operations across the organisation.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Track key operational indicators related to supplier performance, service quality, operational responsiveness, and network coverage.
- Analyse operational trends to identify improvement opportunities and support informed decision-making.
- Produce regular reports on supplier performance, operational efficiency, and service reliability.
- Support budgeting and forecasting by providing operational insights into expected fuel and handling activity.
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing operational performance, supplier management, and overall efficiency.
Profile
- 4 to 6 years of experience in an operational coordination, supplier management, procurement, or aviation operations role.
- Experience within business aviation, airlines, airport operations, ground handling, or aviation fuel management is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of aviation operational processes and the interaction between flight operations, dispatch, suppliers, and airport services.
- Excellent organisational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic operational environment.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret operational data and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Commercial awareness and negotiation skills, with experience managing supplier relationships.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and solution-focused, with a strong commitment to operational excellence.
- Proficiency in Excel is essential. Experience with aviation management systems, fuel management platforms, or ERP systems is an advantage.
- Fluency in English and French is mandatory.
- Autonomous, collaborative, and adaptable, with the ability to build effective relationships across operational and administrative teams.
