3PL Manager, External Fulfillment EU

Amazon is seeking an experienced 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) Manager to oversee the strategic operationsand performance of our critical third-party logistics provider network. In this pivotal role, you will beresponsible for ensuring our 3PL partners consistently meet our high standards across key areas such asoperational performance, cost management, continuous improvement, change management, networkintegration, escalation processes, and provider relationship management. The position requires up to 40% travel to local 3PL sites and Amazon facilities.Key job responsibilitiesPerformance Management:• Establish and lead a structured, systematic approach to site-level performance management,including the use of short-term improvement plans, deviation management, and providing high-quality performance comments and feedback• Proactively identify performance deviations, develop and execute corrective action plans incollaboration with 3PL providers, and leverage data-driven insights to optimize operations• Serve as a benchmark for peers, setting the standard for performance management excellenceCost Management:• Demonstrate a deep understanding of 3PL business cases and the ability to detect hidden costlevers• Drive impactful cost-saving opportunities and efficiency-boosting initiatives, including the pilotingof new productivity and cost-controlling projects• Actively engage with stakeholders to refine business cases and influence cost-improvementactivitiesContinuous Improvement:• Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies to proactively detectpotential issues before they impact KPIs• Drive operational excellence and structured follow-up with peers and linked businesses, settinghigher benchmarks for the network• Demonstrate the ability to influence and align with internal and external stakeholders onimprovement plansChange Management:• Effectively implement top-down changes from Amazon leadership as well as bottom-up initiativesto align 3PL operations with Amazon standards• Exhibit the capability to develop positive and effective initiatives, acting as a primary proposer andsetting higher benchmarks for the rest of the networkNetwork Integration:• Establish continuous and successful bi-directional exchange of support with internal senior networkmanagement, acting as a development motor• Demonstrate the ability to effectively coordinate and align the 3PL site with the broader Amazonfulfillment network and supporting functionsEscalation:• Proactively identify and escalate critical issues, utilizing effective communication and partneringwith senior stakeholders to drive timely resolution• Autonomously author comprehensive escalation reports and successfully participate in seniorleadership calls3P Key Accounting & Vendor Relationship Management:• Build strong, profitable, and sustainable relationships with 3PL provider leadership, Amazon'sinternal leadership, and the broader provider network• Become a trusted and reliable interlocutor, seen as a key point of contact and a benchmark forpeers
