About The Role

Amazon's grocery business is scaling rapidly across Europe — and the perishable supply chain that supports it needs to scale with it. We are looking for a strategic Supply Chain Manager to own the long-term network plan for EU perishable distribution, defining how perishable product reaches customers across international markets.This role sits within the Perishable Distribution Strategy team in WW Grocery Supply Chain and Tech (WWGST). You will build the multi-year roadmap for EU perishable infrastructure — from DC placement and capacity phasing through sourcing topology and last-mile delivery design. You will work at the intersection of network planning, finance, technology, and retail to translate demand signals into investment decisions.This is a builder role. The international perishable strategy is in early development — you will create it.Key job responsibilitiesOwn the international perishable distribution strategy end-to-end — from problem definition through leadership alignment and execution planningBuild complex network models to evaluate topology options, capacity timing, and CapEx trade-offs across multiple international marketsPartner with NA program owners to determine which capabilities transfer to international and which require local adaptationDrive goal alignment with technology teams to secure engineering resources for international programsDevelop and present strategy documents to VP-level leadership, translating ambiguous opportunities into clear investment decisionsWork autonomously across time zones and organizations to understand local market constraints, regulatory requirements, and banner-specific needsIdentify and mitigate risks proactively — particularly around resourcing windows, technology dependencies, and timeline misalignment between regionsA day in the lifeYou will spend your time building financial models that inform where and when to invest in international perishable capacity, writing strategy docs that align senior leadership across multiple organizations, and partnering with local teams to turn demand forecasts into network plans. Your stakeholders span NA supply chain (who built the capabilities you're adapting), international retail (who define the customer requirements), local supply chain execution teams, and technology teams (who build the systems). You will operate with significant autonomy in a space where the frameworks and processes are being built for the first time.About the teamThe Perishable Distribution Strategy team owns long-range planning for Amazon's perishable supply chain — the network of temperature-controlled distribution centers, consolidation hubs, and delivery infrastructure that gets fresh product to customers. We define where to build, what to build, and when — balancing customer experience, cost efficiency, and speed of execution. Our work directly shapes the physical infrastructure behind Amazon's grocery businesses globally.
