About The Role

We are looking for a Manager II, Clinical Operations to lead a team of clinical research professionals across the UK/IRE. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key leadership role within our evolving Clinical Network, supporting staff across both FSO and FSP delivery models.

What You'll Do

  • Lead, coach and develop a team of clinical research professionals, supporting excellence in monitoring, quality and study delivery.
  • Drive performance management, career development, employee engagement and succession planning.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous learning.
  • Ensure high standards of quality, compliance and regulatory oversight.
  • Manage resource allocation, utilisation, workload forecasting and workforce planning.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding and talent development activities.
  • Partner with project teams, sponsors and operational leaders to support successful study delivery.
  • Champion continuous improvement, standardisation and operational excellence across the organisation.

What We're Looking For

  • Degree in Life Sciences, Nursing or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 5 years' clinical research experience gained within a CRO , pharmaceutical, biotechnology or healthcare environment. Experience in monitoring, site management, clinical operations leadership or related clinical trial delivery roles.
  • Strong understanding of clinical trial operations, GCP, quality requirements and study delivery.
  • Previous experience in clinical monitoring and/or site management is highly desirable and would provide a strong foundation for leading, coaching and developing clinical research professionals.
  • Experience supporting regional and/or global clinical trial delivery.
  • Previous people leadership experience with a proven ability to develop, motivate and build high-performing teams.
  • Ability to balance employee engagement with performance accountability while driving operational excellence.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build effective partnerships across all levels of the organisation.
