About The Role

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations through process optimization, continuous improvement, cost reduction initiatives, and technical problem-solving. The role serves as a key liaison between Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Product Engineering to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable manufacturing processes while meeting quality, delivery, and productivity objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide daily engineering support to manufacturing operations and production lines.
  • Analyze production processes and implement improvements to increase efficiency, capacity, and product quality.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flows, BOMs, routings, PFMEAs, and standard operating procedures.
  • Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities through process improvements, tooling enhancements, and equipment optimization.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and product transfer activities, ensuring successful ramp-up and production readiness.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions for manufacturing and quality issues.
  • Design, develop, and validate manufacturing fixtures, tooling, and production equipment.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance and EHS teams to ensure equipment reliability, safety, and ergonomic compliance.
  • Support training and development of production personnel on manufacturing processes and best practices.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and safety regulations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with process validation, line balancing, and capacity analysis.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
  • Experience with automation and Industry 4.0 technologies.
  • Knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, or similar.
