- Working pattern: Part-time, Term-time only working for 39 weeks per year plus 6.05 weeks annual leave, which will increase after 5 years' continuous service)
- As the position is part-time/term-time only, the above salary will be pro rata.

Westfield School is a charming village school, set in the countryside just outside of Hastings. Our school is a friendly and welcoming place where every child is valued and encouraged to thrive.

We are a good school and we are looking for a nurturing and enthusiastic Breakfast Club Assistant to assist in the day to day organisation of the out of school clubs and assist in the provision of quality play opportunities.
You will be supporting the Breakfast Club Coordinator to create a safe, welcoming environment for children where pupils can enjoy creative play and a healthy breakfast before school. You’ll prepare activities, serve refreshments, supervise children, and ensure a positive atmosphere, following the school’s behaviour and safeguarding policies.
Working Hours: 7:30 - 8:45am
A first aid qualification is desirable but training can be provided.
The successful candidate will
- Be friendly, reliable, and enjoy working with children
- Preferably have relevant childcare experience (experience with SEND would be beneficial)
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare
- Have excellent interpersonal skills and can build relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
- Be able to implement positive behaviour strategies
- Be able to work well as part of a team
