About The Role
Finance Manager – In House Manufacturing Finance (PH) Description The In-House Manufacturing Finance Team oversees the financial operations of Dyson’s in-house manufacturing sites in Singapore and Philippines. As part of the Financial Business Control Team, the objective is to collaborate with stakeholders on financial planning and analysis, management reporting, and process and systems controls to support the delivery of key operational objectives. The team aims to maintain a flexible and collaborative working relationship with stakeholders to achieve common goals while ensuring a highly effective control environment. We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our In-House Manufacturing Finance Team in the Philippines to manage and drive various aspects of finance operations. The incumbent will possess strong leadership skills, a good understanding of manufacturing finance and take the lead in business partnering with key stakeholders to deliver financial and operational KPIs. From time to time, the incumbent will also be involved in ad hoc analysis together with their stakeholders on new opportunities identified. This will include but not limited to the product costings of new in house manufactured technology, site growth initiatives etc. The role is a key position of the in-house manufacturing finance function and allows the incumbent a great opportunity to develop a thorough understanding of Dyson’s in house manufacturing technology. The role is based in Batangas, Philippines and reports into the Senior Finance Manager – In House Manufacturing. Accountabilities Business Partner with the DDM management team to support achievement of the site’s financial and operational objectives Drive the month end close activities as well as budget planning and forecasting Prepare and review detailed manufacturing cost analysis and modelling to drive financial insights and recommendations to support business planning and decision-making Lead the review of key operational processes to ensure compliance with regulations and policies and drive process improvements, manufacturing efficiency and cost optimisation Manage inventory control of raw materials, sub-assemblies, spare parts, and finished products to maintain optimal and accurate inventory levels Review operating spend to ensure alignment with budget, policy, and business priorities Collaborate with cross-functional and/or remote teams in the finance activities Prepare and review ad hoc financial analysis as require Skills Qualified Accountant or equivalent post-graduate qualification with manufacturing and costing experience. At least 7 to 8 years of relevant work experience in financial planning and analysis, including experience in a leadership position Experience in rigorous financial planning, analysis and/or strategy experience Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel Proficiency in SAP is a plus Strong planning and organisation skills Ability to understand concepts and ideas quickly and model data in meaningful ways Naturally inquisitive, comfortable interrogating existing processes and systems and problem-solve Proactive in proposing ideas and challenging status quo Experience in working across functions and cultures, with remote teams Excellent personal and business presentation skills Assertive and able to influence peers and upwards Proficient in spoken & written English Independent, with a strong sense of operational discipline and ability to meet deadlines Dyson is an equal opportunity employer.
