Production Welder (Steel)

Waikato Milking Systems is looking for a skilled Production Welder (Steel) to join our Manufacturing. Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you will be responsible for producing high-quality steel components using MIG and TIG welding techniques while meeting production schedules, quality standards and safety requirements. You'll work closely with a supportive manufacturing team and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MIG and TIG welding to specification
• Manufacture products within required quality and time standards
• Maintain a strong focus on workmanship and attention to detail
• Read and interpret engineering drawings where required
• Support continuous improvement initiatives

To be successful in this role, you'll have

• At least 3 years' experience in MIG welding
• TIG welding experience or exposure (advantageous)
• Strong understanding of welding positions and equipment operation
• Experience working with steel and metal fabrication
• Ability to accurately measure and produce quality work
• Physical fitness and ability to work in a manufacturing environment
• A strong commitment to health and safety
• A proactive, reliable and team-focused attitude
