Machine Operator

We are looking for a motivated and reliable Machine Operators to join our confectionary production team. This is a hands-on role within a busy, fast-paced confectionery manufacturing environment where you'll play an important part in producing high-quality products.

Shift Pattern

• Sunday: 23:00 – 06:00
• Monday to Thursday: 22:00 – 06:00

• Rest Days: Friday and Saturday nights.
• (Flexibility to work overtime when required is essential)

Salary

•  
• Successful candidates will initially join the team on Grade 2, with a starting salary of £26,534.04 per annum .
• Following the successful completion of your training and demonstration of the required competencies, you will progress to Grade 3, increasing your salary to £27,122.42 per annum .

Key Responsibilities

As a Machine Operator, you will

• Operate and monitor production machinery safely and efficiently.
• Support the manufacturing process for lconfectinary production.
• Carry out routine machine checks and monitor performance.
• Identify potential machinery issues and report them promptly.
• Assist engineers and technicians during machine breakdowns when required.
• Handle and lift heavy machine parts safely.
• Carry out regular manual handling tasks throughout the shift.
• Work closely with fellow operators and production line staff to achieve production targets.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety, hygiene, and housekeeping.
• Remain alert and proactive to ensure your own safety and the safety of those around you.

The ideal candidate will have

• Previous machine operating experience (preferred, but full training will be provided).
• Experience within food manufacturing (desirable but not essential)
• Ability to carry out manual handling duties.
• A positive attitude with plenty of drive and enthusiasm.
• A proactive, "get up and go" approach with the ability to use initiative.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• A safety-first mindset and the ability to work carefully in a fast-moving production environment.
• Excellent reliability, punctuality, and a willingness to learn.
• Flexibility to work overtime when required.

Working Environment

This role is based within a confectionery manufacturing facility producing a variety of products. The environment can be hot, physically demanding, and occasionally messy , so applicants should be comfortable working in these conditions and capable of undertaking manual work throughout their shift.
