About The Role

What you will do. A glimpse into your role

As a QA Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in strengthening our QA capabilities across the in‑house DBO applications. You will design, build, and maintain automated tests for backend services, APIs, and UI components, contributing directly to stable, secure, and maintainable software releases.

Working closely with Developers, Product Managers, UX, and DevOps, you will support continuous improvement, enhance testability, and help grow our automation maturity as you move toward senior‑level ownership.

  • Design, implement, and maintain automation test suites across API and UI layers.
  • Apply clean test design principles to ensure test stability, readability, and long‑term maintainability.
  • Contribute to risk‑based test planning and actively participate in exploratory testing sessions.
  • Support secure‑by‑design validation and identify potential vulnerabilities early in the development lifecycle.
  • Use logs, dashboards, and metrics to evaluate system behavior and identify issues, patterns, or anomalies.
  • Collaborate with Developers to reproduce defects, validate fixes, and improve test coverage.
  • Work with relational data structures and assist with test data preparation aligned with MSSQL schemas.
  • Contribute to process improvements, framework enhancements, and QA documentation.
  • Leverage AI‑assisted tooling (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to accelerate test development and analysis.

Core Skills

  • Strong experience in Java automation development, capable of writing stable and maintainable test code.
  • Good understanding of Typescript and JavaScript for frontend testing and debugging.
  • Solid knowledge of BDD (Gherkin/Cucumber) for clear and structured scenario writing.
  • Hands‑on experience with API test automation, including flows, payloads, integration checks, and error handling.
  • Practical knowledge of UI automation using tools such as Selenium or Playwright.
  • Experience working with MSSQL, including writing queries, joins, and validating data.
  • Basic understanding of RabbitMQ and testing message‑flow scenarios.
  • Experience testing in containerized environments (Docker & Kubernetes).
  • Awareness of security principles, OWASP basics, and common vulnerability patterns.
  • Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and troubleshooting failures.
  • Familiarity with AI‑assisted testing, generating test ideas, and analyzing logs.

Preferable Skills

  • Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling).
  • Contract testing experience.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
  • Experience working with payment or financial systems.
  • Qualifications and education requirements
  • University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
  • ISTQB Foundation certification is preferred.
  • Strong English communication skills (written and verbal).

Experience

  • Approximately 4–5 years of QA automation experience.
  • Experience working in agile development environments.
  • Reporting and collaboration

Reports to: Development Lead

Works closely with: Developers, QA Engineers, Product Owners, UX, and DevOps teams
