The University of Klagenfurt is pleased to announce an open faculty position in the Department of Economics, Analytics and Operations Research within the Faculty of Management, Economics & Law, in compliance with the provisions of Art. 98 (open-ended) or Art. 98 (limited to 6 years) of the Austrian Universities Act: 1 Full Professor of Production Management Referenzcode: 239/03-PERS/26 Full Professor of Production Management This is a full-time position. Whether the position will be implemented in compliance with the provisions of Art. 98 Austrian Universities Act as open-ended or limited to 6 years will be decided during the course of the appointment procedure, based on candidate qualifications and experience. The professorship will be embedded in the Department of Economics, Analytics and Operations Research (EAOR, <https://www.aau.at/en/economics/%29> within the Faculty of Management, Economics & Law (<https://www.aau.at/wr>). We are looking for a highly qualified and (in line with academic seniority) internationally recognised academic with high engagement in developing and sustaining an ambitious and innovative research programme. The duties of the position include: -Representing the fields of Production and/or Logistics Management in research and teaching -Representing the EAOR-Department's Operations Research group in research and teaching -Teaching in relevant study programmes at the Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral level in English and German, including the supervision of academic theses. German language skills are not a prerequisite, but teaching ability and proficiency in German (Level B2) are expected within two years after appointment -Acquisition and management of competitive research funding -Collaborating with colleagues across the university and with external partners -Advising and mentoring students and early career researchers -Contributing to university governance and academic self-administration -Engaging in third mission activities and public outreach Required qualifications: -Habilitation or equivalent qualification in a relevant field: Operations Research, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Management Science, Business Administration, or related fields -Doctoral degree or PhD -Excellent research standing and publication record in the field of the position -Teaching experience at university level and didactic competence -Experience in the acquisition of and/or willingness to apply for competitive third-party research funding, depending on career progression -Fluency in English Desired qualifications: -Experience in interdisciplinary collaboration -Integration in the international scientific community -Experience in (co-)supervision of academic theses -Experience in academic self-administration -Social skills, competence in leadership and management of teams -Competence in gender mainstreaming and diversity management -German skills or willingness to learn German The salary is subject to negotiation. The minimum gross salary for the position at this level (salary group A1 for faculty according to the Austrian Universities' Collective Bargaining Agreement) is currently € 93,986 per year.
