Driver

We are seeking a reliable and caring individual to join our team as a Driver. This role is centred around collections for our afterschool service. Our dedicated drivers help bring learners safely from schools to our afterschool service each day, creating a safe and caring environment on every journey.

Driving Duties and Responsibilities

• Collect children safely from local schools in our company people carriers and - transport them to our afterschool services.
• Ensure vehicles are kept clean, safe, and well maintained.
• Follow assigned routes and schedules, adapting as needed to traffic or school changes.
• Help children safely enter and exit the vehicle, ensuring seat belts and safety protocols are always followed.
• Maintain clear and friendly communication with the Afterschool team regarding arrival times or any delays.
• Build positive relationships with children, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere during journeys.

Hours

• School collections: Monday to Friday, 12:45 pm – 3:15 pm.
• Opportunity for additional hours in other roles.

Requirements

• Clean, valid driving licence.
• Full no-claims bonus.
• Be at least 25 years of age.
• Good communication skills.
• Reliability and punctuality.
• Previous professional driving experience is an advantage.
• Friendly and approachable, especially with children.
• Garda Vetting.
• Police vetting from the relevant authority if you have lived abroad.
