About the Role

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated Mathematics lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, building a strong foundation in numeracy, algebra, geometry, and statistics.
  • Develop and implement effective lesson plans that cater to a range of learning styles and abilities, ensuring all students make good progress.
  • Assess student progress through regular formative and summative assessments, providing timely and constructive feedback to guide their learning.
  • Contribute to the development of the mathematics curriculum and participate in departmental meetings and initiatives.
  • Offer support and guidance to students through extracurricular mathematics clubs or tutoring.

Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Mathematics.
  • A strong understanding of the secondary mathematics curriculum and effective teaching methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
  • A commitment to the school's Christian ethos and values.
  • A passion for making mathematics accessible and enjoyable for all learners.
