Join Indiana University Health’s Pulmonology and Infectious Disease Clinic in Bloomington, where you will provide professional nursing care through patient assessment, triage, education, treatment administration, care coordination, and ongoing monitoring of respiratory and infectious disease conditions. This 1.0 FTE full-time ambulatory role offers a consistent Monday through Friday day shift schedule, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with no weekends, holidays, or travel requirements. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of 4 Pulmonologists, 3 Advanced Practice Providers, and 3 Infectious Disease providers to deliver exceptional, patient-centered care. Ideal candidates have previous RN experience and are seeking meaningful work, clinical variety, and the opportunity to build lasting patient relationships while supporting chronic disease management and positive health outcomes.
Qualifications
- Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
- Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
- Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
- Two years experience in an ambulatory setting preferred.
- Knowledge of procedures for performing the functions appropriate to the specific clinical area and familiarity with designated pieces of equipment and supplies.
- Requires ability to coordinate a number of functions for a group of patients in an effective timely manner.
- Requires awareness and understanding of legal implications of patient care activities and performance as a Registered Nurse.
- Requires ability to assess patients without face-to-face interaction.
