Utility Infrastructure – Power Transmission and Distribution

Our team of power transmission Infrastructure specialists design, build and maintain critical power infrastructure for the UK’s largest network owners and operators.

The Role

Day to day, you will support the commercial team and you will assist the Quantity Surveyors who estimate and control costs for our construction projects, working with both internal colleagues and subcontractors at every stage of the project. Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • assessing subcontractor applications and processing payments.
  • supporting with potential negotiations or commercial issues.
  • Assessing subcontractor performance and forecasting.
  • helping prepare monthly valuations, reports and variations.
  • Managing change and supporting contract administration

Qualifications

In order to be successful in this role, we would like you have already achieved, or be predicted to achieve by the start date:

  • Minimum 2.2 Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
  • Good IT skills and able to use Microsoft Office packages e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel etc.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Good organisation, time management and communication skills.
  • Enthusiasm, commitment, and flexibility
  • Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel as required.
