Working as a field-based Account Manager in Scotland, within Canon’s Professional Printing business, you will play a pivotal role in developing strategic relationships across Corporate, Government and Graphic Arts Professional print sectors. This position requires a high‑activity, highly motivated individual who takes full ownership of their territory and consistently creates and progresses new opportunities.

You will engage directly with Owners, Business Unit managers, Production and Procurement teams, in Corporate, Public Sector and Graphic Arts organizations, developing solutions led propositions highlighting the value of working with a market leading print company. You will lead strategic discussions around investment, production efficiency, and business growth.

As our Account Manager - Pro Print, your key responsibilities will be to;

  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships within the Corporate, Government and Graphic Arts Print sectors, identifying new business opportunities while growing existing accounts.
  • Build trusted advisor relationships at Owner, Business Unit manager and C-suite level within both new and existing Canon customer accounts.
  • Maintain high levels of sales activity, prospecting, and pipeline development to drive sustained territory growth.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of print business models, including through frameworks.
  • Apply strong technical knowledge of digital toner, finishing solutions, and workflow automation in customer discussions.
  • Develop and present robust financial justifications, including ROI and cost-per-sheet analysis.
  • Accurately forecast revenue, gross margin, solutions, and units on a monthly and quarterly basis to meet financial targets.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of account activity within Salesforce (SFDC).
  • Lead and coordinate virtual teams to deliver complex, multi-stakeholder production print solutions

To be successful in this role as our Account Manager - Pro Print, you will need to possess the following

  • Demonstrable experience as a Sales individual in an Account Manager, Business Development or similar type role
  • Experience within the Professional Print & Graphic Arts sector is advantageous, though not essential for the right candidate
  • Ambitious and eager to learn, with strong motivation to succeed in one of Canon’s core growth sectors.
  • Proven track-record in securing high‑value capital equipment or solutions-based sales and experience engaging directly with Owners Business Unit managers and C‑level executives.
  • Strong account planning capability and a strategic approach to business development.
  • High levels of daily sales activity, prospecting discipline, and pipeline management.
  • Financially literate with the ability to interpret performance metrics and create compelling, data-driven business cases.
  • Highly self‑motivated, proactive, and accountable with strong territory ownership.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and executive‑level negotiation skills.

The salary for this role is £41,000 - £45,000 depending on experience, plus £45k OTE (including commission accelerators), car allowance and a comprehensive benefits package inc. Pension, PHC, 25 days a/l
