Summary of Primary Functions : Manages and directs subcontractors and employees to complete the Erection and Field Finishing of the project in accordance with the plans while ensuring that the project is completed safely, defect-free, on time, and within the budget.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: All employees are required to follow all Safety and Quality rules and processes to ensure a safe working environment, and the production of high-quality products.
- Oversees the Erection and Field Services on an assigned project.
- Assists the Trucking Manager on trucking-related scope items on the assigned projects.
- Provides guidance to the development of the erection plan to Engineering, Project Management, and Subcontractors.
- Oversees the external communication with our customers regarding schedules, site logistics, and sequence of construction.
- Leads Pre=Erection Meetings.
- Verifies Jobsite Bill of Materials and Erection Bill of Materials.
- Works with Project Management and Trucking Manager to coordinate deliveries.
- Order and coordinate delivery of additional material required for erection and repairs.
- Review Subcontractor progress work for compliance with Erection Welding, Grouting, and Bracing Plans.
- Review Product Quality for conformance with project specifications and PCI tolerances.
- Provide Engineering notice of defections that will require FRWOs.
- Review Project Sites and Subcontractors for compliance with Erection and Field Safety Manuals and Project Site Safety Manuals.
- Track punch list and repair items using electronic records.
- Provide communication to external customers and Engineering regarding the status of competition and scheduling.
- Provide direction to subcontractors to perform necessary work. Provide layout work for repairs as necessary.
- Attend Jobsite and Construction Meetings.
- Attend Subcontractor Meetings as required on the Project.
- Coordinate work with General Contractor and Other Trades on the project site.
Job Specifications or Qualifications
Certificates, Licenses, Registration : OSHA 10 Hr. OSHA 30-hour Certification and PCI Field Auditor is considered a plus.
Education and/or Experience: Associate degree (A.A.S). or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to understand manufacturing methods and techniques and the ability to read and comprehend complex drawings.
Travel Required : Employee will travel up to 5 days/week for day trips to job sites.
