The Purpose
As the Senior Manager for Enterprise Risk you’ll play a pivotal role in developing our global Risk Framework, ensuring that PPRO operates within industry best practices and especially the guidelines and regulations (UK FCA and Lux CSSF) while proactively identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with our business operations.
Your impact in this role
- Implement, and maintain a comprehensive risk management strategy tailored to the specific needs of PPRO’s commercial and operating model, while keeping in line with regulatory requirements
- Be a trusted advisor to leaders across the three lines of defence
- Stay current with regulatory guidelines and applicable regulatory standards, ensuring that the institution's risk management practices are consistently compliant
- Identify, assess, and prioritise risks associated with all aspects of PPRO’s global operations, including financial, operational, legal, and strategic risks
- Develop and implement risk mitigation plans, policies, and procedures to minimise exposure to identified risks. Oversee the management of risk by collaborating with other departments and providing guidance and recommendations
- Maintain an effective Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework that aligns with PPRO's strategic objectives, ensuring it evolves with changing business conditions and regulations
- Track and report on key risk indicators. Regularly update executive management and the Board on risk status and recommend corrective actions when necessary
- Liaise with Finance and Treasury to ensure the firm’s orderly wind-down plans are sufficiently robust to withstand regulatory scrutiny from the [CSSF/FCA] and present findings to the Risk Committee
- Provide training and awareness programs to staff to promote a risk-aware culture within the institution
What would make you a great fit
- A bachelor's degree in finance, risk management, business administration, or a related field.
- A master's degree or relevant certifications is highly preferred.
- Extensive experience in Enterprise risk management, preferably within the financial industry or payment institutions, with a deep understanding of CSSF regulations.
- Strong understanding of local regulation including all relevant CSSF circulars
- Ideally, already have relationships with the FCA and CSSF
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with strong communication and interpersonal skills.In-depth knowledge of risk management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Ability to adapt to changing regulations and business needs and make sound decisions accordingly.
- Strong proficiency in risk management software and tools
