Warehouse Manager (Heavy Industrial or Manufacturing Exp. Req.) Description
Our client, a growing industrial manufacturer, is seeking a Warehouse Manager to join their team in Canonsburg, PA. In this role, you will oversee warehouse operations across two facilities supporting in-house manufacturing and customer shipments while leading a small team responsible for receiving, inventory, and shipping activities. The ideal candidate will have experience managing warehouse operations within a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment, including oversized material handling, inventory control, and shipping operations. To be successful, you must be a hands-on leader with strong operational, organizational, and problem-solving skills who enjoys driving process improvements. Warehouse Manager (Heavy Industrial or Manufacturing Exp. Req.) Responsibilities
- Oversee daily warehouse operations across two facilities supporting heavy manufacturing• Lead, coach, and develop 3-5 direct reports across warehouse and material handling functions• Manage receiving, storage, inventory control, picking, staging, and shipping operations• Plan and optimize warehouse layouts and space utilization across multiple buildings• Drive continuous improvement and lean initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste• Manage the warehouse operating budget, including labor, equipment maintenance, & supplies• Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts, physical inventories, and ERP transactions• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies to improve inventory accuracy• Partner with Production, Procurement, Engineering, and Quality to ensure material availability• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and warehouse safety best practices• Oversee shipping and receiving documentation and coordinate inbound and outbound freight• Track warehouse KPI metrics and implement operational improvements
Warehouse Manager (Heavy Industrial or Manufacturing Exp. Req.) Qualifications
- 3+ years as a Warehouse Manager in a heavy industrial or manufacturing setting is required• Experience managing heavy or oversized material handling operations and forklifts is required• Experience leading warehouse teams and driving operational improvements is required• Strong knowledge of shipping, receiving, and inventory control processes is required• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and warehouse safety best practices • Experience using ERP systems for inventory and warehouse management is required
