Job DescriptionAsset TechnicianReporting To: Maintenance ManagerShift Pattern: Various Patterns AvailableRole Summary: To proactively work as part of a multi-disciplined shift team to maintain all assets within the Operational areas to optimise the utilisation of the equipment and to deliver maximum volume at the right quality. Working closely with the Management team to provide pro-active maintenance and technical support to the operations and engineering team to optimise production output for your process area. Actively identify RCA (Root Cause Analysis) and bring the equipment back into service as quickly as possible as well as actively seeking and identifying cost effective improvements to site assets and equipment, improving efficiency and reliability. Support coordination of the engineering team to provide proactive mindset and behaviors to minimize downtime on your process area. Ensure alignment with Engineering Lead and process area teams, supporting the training and development of equipment /process/area/ system, owners.Key Responsibilities: Demonstrate commitment to health and safety. Effective 2-way communication of health and safety, e.g., at Tier 1, Safety Habit discussions, Safety Habit Observations, Risk Triggers including dynamic risk assessmentsKnowledge of site hazards and controls, and compliance to permit process ensuring team are competent for activities and compliant to site Ways of WorkingResponsible for food safety and product quality as defined by regulatory, Kraft Heinz and local procedures. It is the jobholder’s responsibility to escalate any issues that might compromise food safety and product qualityLeadership during emergency situationsTo deputise within control loops for the Engineering Leader, when requiredCarry out planned and preventative maintenance using either Electrical / Mechanical / Control System / Automation skill setTo diagnose faults and to test, repair and maintain Mechanical / Electrical equipmentSupport site Reliability agenda: Identification of failure modes and trends, complete root cause analysis (RCA) processes and drive / deliver the agreed actions, define, and improve maintenance strategy for assetsEnsure required spares are defined for each asset with correct specifications and adequate quantities.Ensure asset BOMs are correctly setup in SAPIdentify life cycle issues and raise these with possible recommendationsProactive fault prevention and continuous improvement activity to deliver key maintenance KPI’sProvide support to and involvement in site Project and Change Initiatives as appropriateGenerate shift reportReport all maintenance tasks on SAP system as required and to the correct standardSupport the planning, critical information collection, organising and execution of worksPractice KHMS requirements and implement according to the standardSupport the shift engineering teamEnsuring close liaison with support departments to maximise quality and performance including Planning and execution of all maintenance tasks throughout the weekLiaise and manage OEMs / Suppliers and Contractors as requiredAbility to deliver on the job training (knowledge transfer) to new / existing colleagues and apprenticesActively participate in tier meetings and execution of the daily / weekly planAccountable for assessing all corrective notifications in a timely manner for area of responsibility, ensuring the JIB (job in a box) process is followed and all parts are correctSupport the scheduling of maintenance work for the next week during the Weekly Planning MeetingSupport the overhaul / EEM process for area of responsibilityLead and support the RCA of Breakdowns and the implementation of corrective actions to prevent re-occurrence when escalatedCreate SOP’s/SMP’s/OPL’s and train and sign off line team in maintenance activitiesDeliver innovation and continuous improvement to reduce downtime caused by maintenance and equipment failuresEnsure maintenance schedules are updated with learnings from equipment failures to minimize unplanned plant downtimeEnsure that SAP is being used effectively to develop a planned maintenance strategy.
