About The Role

Our client, an established technology and software development company based in Malta, is looking for a QA Tester to join its growing product development team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for software quality who enjoys identifying issues before they reach end users. Working closely with developers, business analysts, and product teams, you will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of reliable, high-quality software solutions. Tasks Execute manual testing of web and software applications to ensure functionality, usability, and performance. Design, document, and maintain detailed test cases, test plans, and test scenarios based on business and technical requirements. Identify, document, and track software defects using issue management tools. Collaborate closely with developers and stakeholders to investigate, reproduce, and resolve reported issues. Perform regression, functional, integration, and user acceptance testing when required. Verify bug fixes and ensure defects have been resolved before release. Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and other Agile ceremonies. Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, testing standards, and documentation. Support release validation to ensure software meets quality standards before deployment. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline. At least 1 year of experience in a Software QA or Testing role. Hands-on experience with manual testing and software test execution. Experience writing clear and comprehensive test cases and test documentation. Familiarity with defect tracking and project management tools such as Jira. Basic understanding of the .NET Framework and software development lifecycle. Knowledge of software testing methodologies, best practices, and QA principles. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality software. Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within an Agile team. Nice to Have Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar. Understanding of API testing using tools such as Postman. Familiarity with SQL and database testing. ISTQB Foundation Certification or equivalent. Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
