We are a highly skilled and motivated Senior Cyber Security Specialist to join our dynamic team in Huntsville, AL, supporting the Missile Defense Agency.
💼 What You'll Do
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Brief status reports to the Leadership Team
- Prepare detailed reports for presentation
- Understand and manage the technologies of the assigned systems
🧠 What You Bring to the Table
- 15+ years of Information Technology/Cybersecurity Experience with a minimum of 5 years in the DoD and a minimum of 5 years of System Administration and configuration experience in the enterprise with one or more of the following technologies:
- Windows 7 – 10 including DoD Secure Host Baseline
- Cisco switches and routers
- Boundary defenses
- DoD 8570 IAM – III Certification Certification Details
- An active DoD SECRET Level Security Clearance (or have held one in the past 2 years)
- Strong skills in Tenable’s Nessus/Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS):
- Vulnerability Analysis
- Managing scan data in Security Center
- Providing reports to system owners, program managers, and ISSMs to track vulnerability metrics
- Uploading scan data to enterprise Mission Assurance Service (eMASS) to populate the asset management component
- Ports, Protocols, and Services (PP&S)
- LAN/WAN design and security
- Demonstrated knowledge of cybersecurity and Risk Management Framework (RMF) policy and procedures (DoD 8500, DoD 8510, NIST SP 800-37, & NIST SP 800-53)
- Knowledge of RMF Implementation guidance and applying technical expertise to continuous monitoring controls
- Ability to explain technical information to non-technical audiences and explain complex situations to all levels of leadership, including SES/General Officers
