About Us

Barkes Corner is a spacious, purpose-built veterinary hospital supported by our nearby Brookfield satellite clinic. Together, we provide high-quality medical, surgical, dental and emergency care to companion animals across Tauranga.

Our experienced and supportive team enjoys working collaboratively and is passionate about delivering excellent patient care. With access to advanced equipment and facilities, we support a broad range of clinical interests including soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery, ultrasound, dentistry, and in-house diagnostics.

• 12 month fixed-term role from late October 2026
• 4-day work week (76 hours per fortnight)
• Shared 1:4 Saturday roster

About You

• BVSc or equivalent veterinary qualification
• Registered, or eligible for registration, with the Veterinary Council of New Zealand
• Ideally 3+ years' small animal experience
• Confident with routine consultations, dentistry, surgery, and some sole charge (1 day per week at Satellite clinic & Saturday rotation)
• A positive team player who enjoys a supportive and collaborative environment
