Are you a finance professional who enjoys partnering with project teams, solving problems, and driving project success? NBBJ is seeking a
Project Accountant
to join our collaborative Finance team and play a critical role in supporting projects across the firm.

In your new role you will
As a key member of our Finance team, you'll partner with Project Managers across all NBBJ offices to drive project success through the following responsibilities:
Be a true partner
– work closely with project managers, clients and sub-consultants to prepare monthly invoices based on contract requirements
Own your contracts
– Review and interpret contract terms to accurately establish budgets and billing terms within our financial system
Keep things accurate
– validate and process high volume of consultant invoices and ensure project costs are recorded correctly
Stay organized
– maintain finance project files
Be a team player
– review and audit teammates' work and jump in where needed
Drive continuous improvement
– collaborate with your team to identify and implement process improvements
Wear multiple hats
– assist with timesheet collection and participate in special projects as they come up
What you will need to succeed
We are looking for a motivated and experienced professional who takes pride in their work and enjoys being part of a fast-paced collaborative team. The ideal candidate will have:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
A minimum of
3 years
of project cost accounting experience
Strong understanding of accounts payable and receivable functions
Solid grasp of project financial performance, including revenue and profitability
Strong
MS Excel
skills with proficiency in
Word, Outlook
and
Adobe
; experience with
Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint
is a plus
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to respond to clients and team members in a professional and timely manner
Self-motivated with a high level of initiative and accountability
Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy and follow through
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines
Comfortable working both independently and in a collaborative environment

NBBJ is an office first firm, with an expectation that all staff are able to be present in the office a minimum of 4 days per week.
The annual base pay range for this role is anticipated to be between $68,000 and $80,000 for Seattle. Actual compensation for successful candidates will be carefully determined based on a number of factors, including their skills, qualifications and experience.
