Shift Feed Mill Technician

Department/Location of Position: Smithton, MO

Starting Pay

• $22.00/hour
• JBS Live Pork Smithton is looking for a full time 2nd shift Feed Mill Production Technician.
• This position is part of an excellent team that is responsible for manufacturing and shipping of animal feed.

Responsibilities include

·

Run multiple pieces of equipment, i.e. grinders, batching scales, mixers, feed cleaners, pellet mills, coolers. Samples and receives ingredients by truck and monitors ingredients inventory levels.

Manufacture feeds to ensure that they meet specifications and food safety requirements.

·

Schedule production based on priorities and customer demands.

·

Keep accurate, legible records.

·

Perform housekeeping tasks, maintain a clean workplace.

Required

Qualifications

• Local to Smithton MO area
• Regular and reliable transportation
• Basic math & computer skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to safely lift 50 pounds.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to clean and organize work areas.
• Interpersonal skills for working with other employees.
• Available to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in feed milling or industrial manufacturing work.
• Ideal candidates should have above average skills in teamwork, decision making, taking responsibility, and integrity
