Essential Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Assist the Sr. Sales Leader in planning and implementing strategies to attract customers
  • Coordinate daily customer service operations (e.g. sales processes, orders, inventory)
  • Track the progress of weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual objectives
  • Monitor and maintain store inventory
  • Evaluate employee performance and identify hiring and training needs
  • Organize the schedule for new hires in a way they can participate in the 6 weeks onboarding program
  • Conduct on-the-job training for new hires
  • Lead continuous training programs and guarantee full participation (Chew on This, Wild Chef, Product Training, new processes, etc.)
  • Supervise and motivate staff to perform their best
  • Coach and support new and existing Sales Associates
  • Conduct ongoing performance reviews
  • Monitor retail operating costs, budgets and resources
  • Communicate with clients and evaluate their needs
  • Analyze consumer behavior and propose product positioning to the Commercial team
  • Handle complaints from customers
  • Research emerging products and use information to update the store’s merchandise
  • Create reports, analyze and interpret retail data, like revenues, expenses and competition
  • Make sure all employees adhere to the company’s policies and guidelines
  • Act as our store’s representative and set an example for our staff
  • Execute other related duties as assigned

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Physically able to exert up to 50 pounds of force
  • Occasional exposure to extreme temperatures – walk-in freezers
  • Stand/walk for up to 8-10 hours
  • Frequent movement within the store to access various departments, areas, and products

Qualifications

Employed in current position for at least six months.

Written confirmation of acceptable(>/3 = meets expectations) 360 evaluation signed by the applicant’s Manager and completed no more than 12 months prior to date of transfer application.

Candidates should maintain a consistent level of performance and should have no active corrective actions. This includes but is not limited to attendance issues, policy violations etc.

Successfully pass any specific screening processes required for the position of interest, including but not limited to skills assessments, interviewsand Development Committee.

Previous retail supervisory experience preferred, but not required

Ability to multi-task, while being attentive to customers and remaining flexible to the needs of the business

Demonstrated ability to meet and work within a budget

Work as part of a team and take initiative independent of the Senior Leader
