IT - Systems Administrator

Summary

Responsible for the configuration and maintenance of Company computer systems.

Duties

• Develop, maintain, and support technical infrastructure, hardware, and system software components.
• Perform installations, maintenance and support of system software/hardware and user support.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve system hardware, software, and networking issues.
• Configure, optimize, and monitor operating system software and servers.
• Develop and implement IT standards and documentation.
• Perform root cause analysis and create preventative measures.
• Provide end user support on escalated help desk tickets.
• Implement and maintain information security policies and procedures.
• Define and execute project plans.
• Manage security audits and vulnerability/threat assessment.
• Manage software license and contract obligations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in related field.
• Relevant certifications: VCP, MCP, etc.
• Hands on experience building and supporting Microsoft stack IT infrastructure – Windows Server, Active Directory, SQL server, RDP.
• Hands on experience building and supporting highly available virtualized/SAN environments.
• Experience with Nimble and VMW preferred.
• Experience with cloud-based services preferred – 8x8, Azure, AWS.
• Experience managing LAN and WAN environments.
• Experience with WatchGuard firewalls preferred.

The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
