About The Role
This is what you will do:The Thought Leader Liaison (TLL) role is a senior field-based position within the US commercial organization that will focus on commercial KOL relationship engagement, promotional speaker training and development, and supports the strategic execution of insight generation to inform company direction. The position will report to the Director TLL and is a field-based extension of the marketing team.Region will include Southeast U.S. You will be responsible for: Thought Leader Development:Develop and maintain KOL Engagement Plans for thought leadersPlan and execute National and Regional Congress Engagement Plan with a focus on meaningful engagements with senior leadership and in support of marketing initiativesSupport commercial KOL influence mapping initiatives by developing profilesMonitor KOL insights about current and future treatment patterns that may impact the commercial strategy and provide feedback for considerationAct as liaison between KOLs and Alexion for on label activities, including office-based cross-functional colleagues and teams (Marketing, Medical, Diagnostics, and Executive leadership)Assist in the facilitation and execution of commercial advisory boards through identification of key advisors equipped to provide compelling insightsAlign with field partners such as Medical Science Liaisons on complementary initiatives with shared customersPromotional Physician Speaker Bureau Management & EngagementWork with Marketing and Sales Management to identify and recruit KOLs for national and regional faculty and speaker bureausTrain, evaluate, and coach physician speakers to provide high-quality branded and unbranded educationEnsures appropriate and compliant execution of speaker programsMonitors speaker performance at live programsWork with marketing and contracted speakers to gain and synthesize feedback in support of the evolution of promotional programming content, case studies for potential publications, and other commercial projectsProvides field-based training on speaker programs when neededCompliant Collaboration with Regional Field TeamProvides input and support in developing account plansProvides field-based training when neededAddress customer service issues/identified needs and coordinate cross-functional action plans to address on label issue as neededBrand StrategyWorks with cross-functional teams to provide key customer insights and input on strategy, tactics, messaging, and program executionCompliance & IntegrityWorks with the highest degree of professionalism and in accordance with the company’s code of Ethics and Business ConductYou will need to have: Bachelor’s Degree 7 plus years’ work experience in academia, medical or bio/pharmaExperience in a combination of one or more of the following areas: product marketing, field sales, clinical, nurse practitioner or thought leader engagementWorking knowledge of Thought Leader engagement practices.Clinical, technical, and scientific knowledge and aptitude in complex disease statesEffective verbal and written communication skills and organizational abilitiesProven ability to manage large geographical territoryMust live within the assigned territory or within 150 miles of the boarder of the territoryValid driver’s license and clean driving <record.Travel> requirements: Willing to travel >50% of the time including significant overnight and weekend travelThe duties of this role are generally conducted in a field environment. We would prefer for you to have:Graduate degree (MSc, MSN, MBA)Prior experience and/or relationships within the Neurology areaPrior experience in bio/pharma in Marketing or thought leader engagement strongly preferredSelf-driven with strong organizing and planning skillsHighly collaborative with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyDemonstrated ability to execute against strategic and tactical plans under short timelines The annual base pay for this position ranges from $174,000 to $261,000. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles). Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
