About The Role

Manager-Fund Accounting

Hybrid-Livingston, NJ or Wilmington, DE

Monday to Friday 9 am to 6 pm

Some of the things you will be doing

  • Assist in managing client relationships
  • Review accounting records, supporting schedules, and financial reports for assigned clients
  • Review cash activity, including journal entries and wire transfers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Review investment activity, such as purchases and sales, and interest accruals/income
  • Review comprehensive workpapers that fully reconcile and support the trial balance
  • Review IRS Form 1099 in compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Ability to prepare all above bullets if needed
  • Ensure standard procedures and controls are adhered to
  • Communicate with clients to obtain information, resolve inquiries, and provide status updates
  • Coordinate deliverables with client and internal teams
  • Ensure all processes are in line with the SLA and escalate when needed
  • Support the year end audit process as well as SOC 1 audit and SBA exam
  • Career development, supervision, and training of staff
  • Lead/Participate in projects focused on improving operational efficiency, including automation of Excel-based calculations and enhancement of workpaper processes
  • Ensure that best practices are used by fund accounting team
  • Perform internal tasks, including mandatory training and time tracking

What technical skills, experience, and qualifications do you need?

  • BS Degree in Accounting - CPA or CPA candidate a plus
  • Experience in portfolio/investment and partnership accounting required
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP
  • Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, SUMIF, IF/THEN, XIRR, SUBTOTAL, ROUND, named ranges)
  • Investran and Geneva experience a plus
  • Proficient in delegating responsibilities, mentoring staff, and overseeing team performance.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a professional and client-focused approach
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Experience managing client relationships

At CSC, compensation decisions are dependent on a number of factors including job location and the knowledge and experience of each individual. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $100,000 to $140,000.
