About The Role

Essential Duties and Responsibilities for Automation Assembly Operator include the following

  • Robotic grippers
  • Rotary units
  • Linear actuator
  • Basic drilling/milling at machines for modification of components.
  • Assemble & modify product fixtures.
  • Support day to day production activities to help meet customer product demand.
  • Inspect, test, trouble shoot and diagnose products or mechanical systems.
  • Read blueprints to diagnose and make repairs including but not limited to exploded views, follow prints to assembly, read tolerances
  • Maintain clean and orderly workstation through SCHUNK 5S program.
  • Follow all SCHUNK production safety rules and policies.
  • Participate in the SCHUNK Quality Improvement Program.
  • Perform other duties or projects when requested by SCHUNK management.

Requirements

Qualifications for Automation Assembly Operator

  • Understanding of the system engineering process as it relates to use and service of SCHUNK products.
  • Exceptional technical problem-solving abilities.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Must work with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to develop an understanding of the component manufacturing and sales industry and SCHUNK product lines.

Education and/or Experience for Automation Assembly

  • A high school diploma is required. Prefer a minimum of 1 years’ experience in assembly of components in the manufacturing sector.
  • Understanding of blueprints, sketches, drawings, and manuals. Ability to analyze and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret highly technical drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to trouble-shoot in the field and communicate with cross-functional team to resolve problems.
