About The Role

  • Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and
  • co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values.
  • Requires a high level of public contact and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Interviews patients or responsible party to obtain personal, demographic, insurance, and medical information
  • prior to services. Confirms and manages patient identity. Understands compliance requirements and assists
  • with completion of required forms.
  • Correctly assigns insurance coverages based on eligibility responses. Explains plan benefits, authorization
  • status, and medical necessity.
  • Creates a transparent financial experience including generation of an estimate preservice, explains patient
  • liability, and collects prepayments and on outstanding balances. Offers information on payment plans and
  • Compassionate Care when appropriate.
  • Correctly transcribes and validates orders, as well as schedules walk-in appointments.
  • Advocates for patient engagement, including activation of MyChart.
  • Monitors environment and attends to patients, families and visitor's needs in an effort to create a positive,
  • expeditious registration experience.
  • Assists with wayfinding and connecting patient to care.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Training

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable with computer use, including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of Medical terminology/prior experience with healthcare
  • High school diploma/GED preferred from an accredited school
