General Laborer

F. L. Crane & Sons, Inc. an employee-owned specialty contractor with over 75 years of experience covering a wide range of finishing, metal panel systems and custom crating. We are based out of Fulton MS and operate 14 divisions throughout the southeastern part of the US. Clean up worksites from hazardous or obsolete material

Assist welders, carpenters, painters or other tradespeople on-site

Handle and transport materials and equipment

Follow instructions from supervisors to perform manual labor tasks

Help with setting up and transferring temporary structures (e.g. scaffolding)

Report issues with equipment or unsafe conditions

Use power tools and machinery when needed

Requirements

• Education and/or Work Experience Requirements
• One year experience in construction (preferred)

Preferred Skills and Abilities

• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods of time, lifting heavy loads of up to 100 pounds etc.)
• Good hand-eye coordination
• Familiarity with power tools and machinery is a plus
• Communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to safety rules
• Apprenticeship or specialization is an asset, but not necessary
