Day-to-day responsibilities of this position: Experience negotiating with customers Review complex tax cases (Tax Clearance, Bonds, Bankruptcy, Garnishments) Prior experience in collections, including taking legal action Basic understanding of Utah tax laws Skills in dealing with customers an adverse environment Prior experience working with customers over the phone Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Be able to do your part in a team environment Research information to find answer to questions Data entry skills Has exceptional customer service skills Is very detail oriented Job Series This postion may be filled at any adverstised level within the job series: Tax Compliance Agent II $22.60 - $33.96 Tax Compliance Agent III $25.22 - $37.86 Salary Employees are hired for this position only at entry level (Tax Compliance Agent II), $23.73 an hour. We are unable to negotiate hourly wage amounts. DHRM rules apply for promotions/transfers for current state employees.
