About The Role

Primary Purpose: The overall purpose of this position is to support the planning and delivery of a high quality Master of Speech-Language Pathology (MSLP) program. The primary dimensions associated with this position are in the areas of: 1) MSLP clinical teaching and support of faculty in the development and implementation of high-quality curriculum, and 2) program administrative support including accreditation support, development, implementation and evaluation of new clinical placements, quality improvement initiatives and other committee work. This temporary position works independently, as part of an administrative team and in close collaboration with the Academic Lead Clinical Education and Community Affairs and MSLP Program Chair. Nature of Work: Reporting to the Academic Lead Clinical Education and Community Affairs of the School of Rehabilitation Science, this position supports the MSLP program with special emphasis on contributions to MSLP teaching support; curriculum and quality assurance; MSLP Accreditation support; and MSLP clinical placement student supervision and other administrative assistance. Typical Duties or Accountabilities: MSLP Clinical Teaching: Works with the Academic Lead Clinical Education and Community Affairs and MSLP Program Chair to coordinate and deliver delegated MSLP clinical teaching and learning activities. Supports SLP faculty and students in the delivery of high-quality MSLP programming New Clinical Placement Development, Implementation Evaluation Works with the Academic Lead Clinical Education and Community Affairs and clinical education unit team to develop, implement and evaluate new MSLP student placement opportunities MSLP Program and School Admin related: Works with the MSLP Program Chair to support MSLP program quality assurance Other assigned administrative tasks related to MSLP program and quality assurance. Education: Entry to practice speech-language pathology degree and eligible for licensure with the College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists of Saskatchewan Experience: A minimum of 5 years of clinical experience as a speech-language pathologist. Inter-professional collaborative practice experience. Teaching experience and/ or student supervision experience Project management, quality improvement, and/or program administration experience in healthcare and/or education settings would be an asset. Skills: Demonstrated clinical expertise, effective interpersonal and communication skills; demonstrated ability to adapt to change, organize work, set priorities, and work as part of a team; ability to show initiative; ability to work on multiple projects, in a diverse environment and to meet deadlines; self-motivated; ability to problem-solve effectively in an independent manner with excellent organizational and analytical skills, and computer literacy (Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word). The position is in scope of the Administrative and Supervisory Personnel Association (ASPA).
