Postdoctoral Research Associate in RNA Biology and Functional Genomics
University of Illinois Chicago · Chicago, IL, US
About The Role
Position Summary We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate to join our team. This position is available immediately. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled. Our research focuses on understanding the mechanisms of RNA-mediated gene regulation and how dysregulation of gene expression contributes to cancer development and progression. We combine cutting-edge experimental and computational approaches to investigate gene regulatory networks at molecular, cellular, and systems levels. Current research areas include: • RNA expression regulation and its role in cancer biology • Functional genomics and gene regulatory mechanisms • High-throughput multi-omics approaches, including RNA-seq, CRISPR screening, single-cell sequencing and spatial transcriptomics • Integration of bioinformatics and genomic data analysis • Development of RNA-based molecular biomarkers for disease diagnosis and prognosis Duties Responsibilities designing and executing molecular, cellular, and genomics-based studies developing and applying advanced CRISPR and transcriptomic technologies integrating and analyzing multi-omics datasets disseminate research findings through high-impact publications and scientific presentations, collaborate with interdisciplinary research teams, and contribute to the laboratory’s research, training, and mentoring activities.
