About The Role

What we’re looking for

We're looking for an exceptional Systems Innovation Engineer to bring deep UAV systems expertise into our supply chain organization. In this role, you'll assess drone components and sub-components at a full-system level, ensuring sourcing and evaluation decisions are technically sound, integration-aware, and aligned with how the complete platform performs. This is a technical authority role where you'll bridge R&D and supply chain, directly shaping how Twentyfour sources components for a scaling defense program.

The day-to-day

Systems authority: act as the systems-engineering authority for SCM, assessing components at the full unmanned-system level

Component evaluation: proactively evaluate, benchmark, and qualify drone components and suppliers against system-level requirements

Technical deep-dives: run component-evaluation projects jointly with R&D and the AI team

Requirements translation: translate R&D system requirements into clear component specifications and sourcing criteria

Supplier relationships: build and maintain technical relationships with strategic component suppliers, assessing roadmaps and capabilities

Risk feedback: feed integration, reliability, and obsolescence risk back into sourcing and design decisions

You should apply if you

Track record: you bring exceptional systems-engineering expertise in unmanned systems/UAVs, with a deep understanding of how components integrate into a complete airborne platform

Technical depth: you have deep knowledge of drone sub-systems (propulsion, power/batteries, flight control/autopilot, sensors/payloads, RF/datalink, airframe)

Evaluation skills: you can technically evaluate, benchmark, and qualify components and suppliers against system-level requirements

Collaboration: you work closely with R&D/engineering, translating system needs into component requirements and sourcing criteria

Education: you hold a degree in aerospace, mechatronics, electrical engineering, or a related field – or equivalent hands-on experience that speaks louder than the diploma

Languages: you're fluent in English; German is a plus

Nice to haves

Production lifecycle: hands-on experience across the prototype-to-series-production lifecycle of an unmanned system

Defense experience: military/defense UAV experience and familiarity with relevant standards and constraints

Technical procurement: supplier-facing or technical-procurement experience rather than a pure design-house background
