About The Role
Alta Planning + Design is hiring a TDM Outreach Specialist Level I or II for our Los Angeles office. This is a role for someone who finds meaning in the work of connecting people to places and who genuinely believes that transit, biking, carpooling, and walking are not just alternatives to driving alone, but better ways to move through communities. This is a full-time position that will support a portfolio of projects primarily based in the greater Los Angeles area, with a primary focus on conducting public outreach, providing high-quality customer service, engaging with community members and stakeholders, and assisting with the implementation of programs.About AltaAlta is a mission‑driven company working to mitigate climate change and advance safety and social justice by shaping sustainable, people‑centered communities. The work may include commuter programs, employer services, TMA/TMO programs, transportation benefit programs, rideshare and vanpool programs, transit promotion, active transportation programs, parking management strategies, mobility hubs, first/last-mile programs, shared mobility, and other initiatives that reduce single-occupancy vehicle trips and vehicle miles traveled.This is a people-centered implementation role. The specialist will frequently communicate with commuters, employers, clients, public agency staff, vendors, and community partners; explain transportation programs in clear and practical terms; and help turn plans and policies into programs that people can use. The position will include in-person work and occasional events outside traditional business hours, including evenings and weekends.
