About The Role
JOB SUMMARY
The Boyce College Women’s Volleyball Assistant Coach will work with the Women’s Head Volleyball Coach to fulfill the mission of the institution in developing students for leadership and ministry; encourage excellence in discipleship, witness and ministry through athletic competition; developing a philosophy and practice of sport that is consistent with Biblical revelation and excellence; establish a platform to attract students to function as ambassadors for the school; and enhance student life at the college.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
The employee in this position will have the following essential job functions
- Assist in developing and executing a discipleship program for players
- Assist with administrative duties of the Head Coach
- Help in recruiting players in accordance with institutional and NCCAA guidelines
- Ensure that all players meet NCCAA and Boyce College eligibility requirements
- Assist with responsibilities of the Head Coach, including practice and game planning
- Report to Director of Athletics and Volleyball Head Coach
- Remunerated with contract arranged through the college and athletic program
- Performs other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.
EDUCATION
The person in this position should have a bachelor’s degree.
EXPERIENCE
The person in this position must have collegiate playing experience. Collegiate coaching experience is preferred.
SUPERVISION
- The person in this position will supervise student-athletes.
- The person in this position will report to the Volleyball Head Coach and Director of Athletics.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The person in this position should be willing and prepared to work in a professional environment as well as outdoor environment when needed.
