The merger of Aviva Singapore and Singlife was announced in September 2020 and created one of the largest homegrown financial services companies in Singapore in a deal valued at S$3.2 billion. It was the largest insurance deal in Singapore at the time. Singlife was subsequently acquired by Sumitomo Life in March 2024, one of Japan’s leading life insurers, which valued Singlife at S$4.6 billion, making the transaction one of the largest insurance deals in Southeast Asia. Responsibilities · Assist manager with cross-department projects such as new platform/process development & migration across platforms/custodians · Perform and oversee end-to-end transfer processes, including transfer of unit trust holdings across & within platforms, settlement monitoring and other transfer-linked activities · Support firm and advisor maintenance matters on platforms when required · Exercise judgement in handling stakeholders’ requests, urgent ad hoc tasks, and completing priorities within tight timelines while exercising operational accuracy · Liaise with internal stakeholders, custodians, counterparties and external vendors to resolve queries and provide operational support · Ensure adherence to established procedures, control guidelines, market regulations and compliance framework Requirements · Diploma in any related discipline · 3-5 years of relevant experience in investment operations and/or asset management · Experience in handling high-volume operational environments with tight turnaround timelines · Proficient in Microsoft Suite and comfortable working with multiple operational systems. · Experience in handling cross-department projects · Knowledge in executing unit trust transfers across platforms is advantageous · Strong attention to detail and sense of ownership · Inquisitive and enjoys dynamic working environment and processes · Independent, resilient and able to handle escalations professionally
