About the Role
We are seeking an experienced
Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) Payload Engineer
to support the development, integration, and testing of advanced SAR remote sensing payloads for LEO and MEO satellite missions. In this role, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to design, integrate, and validate high-performance radar payload systems while ensuring mission requirements are met throughout the development lifecycle. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in SAR systems, satellite payload integration, and aerospace systems engineering.
Key Responsibilities
Support the design, development, integration, and testing of
Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR)
- payload systems.
- Define and manage system requirements, interface control documents (ICDs), and technical specifications.
- Support payload integration, verification, validation, and troubleshooting activities.
- Develop technical documentation, including requirements, test procedures, risk assessments, and engineering reports.
- Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Participate in system design reviews, trade studies, and technical analyses.
- Support payload performance evaluation and system optimization.
Utilize
Confluence
and
JIRA
to support engineering documentation and project execution.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in
Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics
- , or a related field.
- 10+ years
- of experience supporting
- Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) remote sensing system
- development, integration, and testing for
- LEO and/or MEO satellite missions
- .
- Strong understanding of aerospace systems engineering principles.
- Hands-on experience supporting system integration, testing, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
- Strong technical writing skills, including requirements, ICDs, test procedures, and risk documentation.
- Experience using

- Ability to work independently and solve complex engineering problems through analytical and creative thinking.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in
English

Preferred Qualifications
- French language proficiency.
- Experience supporting end-to-end SAR payload development for commercial or government satellite programs.
- Strong background in satellite payload integration, remote sensing systems, and mission verification.
- Experience working on advanced Earth observation or spaceborne radar missions.
