Position Overview The Trainee – Accountant is responsible for supporting UK clients with statutory financial statement preparation, year‑end accounting activities, VAT and payroll reconciliations, and day‑to‑day accounting support. Essential Duties and Responsibilities · Demonstrate strong BK/PTR concepts to identify risks, process gaps, and compliance issues. · Perform year-end accounting and tax close activities, including reconciliations and adjustments. · Support preparation and review of trial balances, general ledger mapping, and account analysis. · Assist in bookkeeping activities, including journal entries, accruals, deferrals, and reconciliations. · Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve YE open items and queries. Key Success Measures Client – Client Satisfaction, Associate Retention and Attraction Financial – Reduced cost-to-serve/optimization, Profitability improvement Operational – Defined Structure, Improved Employee Value Proposition People – Higher associate engagement, lower attrition Education, Skills & Experience · B Com/ M Com, CA Inter or equivalent (Preferable) · 1.5 – 2 years of Indian Accounting experience · Strong knowledge of Indian Accounting · Strong knowledge of BK/PTR concepts · Hands-on experience in Year-End close and Bookkeeping · Understanding of tax compliance processes and financial accounting · Strong analytical and reconciliation skills. · Excellent communication skills for daily client interaction. · Ability to manage deadlines and deliver high-quality work consistently. · Proficient in MS Excel. Work Model and Training Period Wok Model: · Work from office for 6 months and then after Hybrid as per business requirement. Shift timings: · 11:00 AM IST – 8:30 PM IST (During Training Period) · 12:30 PM IST – 10:00 PM IST - Indian Summers (Post Training) · 1:30 PM IST – 11:00 PM IST – Indian Winters (Post Training) Training Period: · 3 months
