Full-time, hybrid, principally in-office location at McKell Building, Sydney NSW 2000. Clerk 7/8 - $116,981 – $129,492 + superannuation and leave loading Exciting opportunity in the Stakeholder Engagement and Events team at the Department of Customer Service. Develop and deliver major external-audience-facing events on high profile projects aligned with DCS and NSW Government priorities, delivering better outcomes for customers across NSW. The Stakeholder Engagement and Events team supports DCS by engaging with industry, community, and government stakeholders. We produce external-audience-facing events, conduct stakeholder mapping and research, develop targeted communication materials and coordinate major program communication plans for cluster partners. The role We are looking for an organised, proactive and experienced Events Advisor to support the Stakeholder Engagement and Events team in the Media and Stakeholder Communications directorate. This temporary opportunity offers the chance to play a key role in delivering impactful external-audience-facing events to support DCS and NSW Government priorities. In this role, you will plan and deliver multiple concurrent events. You will collaborate with diverse stakeholders to develop communication materials, manage issues and deliver high quality in-person, hybrid and online events. You will leverage technical platforms including Swift Digital, Slido, MS Teams Town Hall, Salesforce and other engagement tools to support seamless event coordination and communication. You will work in a high-performing team to support the achievement of business objectives. The role requires leadership with a proven track record in delivering a mix of both in-person, digital broadcast and hybrid events. In addition, you will develop, coordinate and deliver effective communications. You will be organised, adaptable to changing timeframes and able to change complex information into plain language to ensure communications are clear, balanced and accessible to businesses, industry groups and the community. This role works closely with stakeholders from across the department, so you will need to be great at building and maintaining key relationships, managing your time and keeping abreast of a busy portfolio of work. You are resilient and have a professional can-do attitude. Key accountabilities include: Plan, co-ordinate and deliver events in-person, online or in a combined format to a variety of stakeholders to ensure delivery of organisational objectives. Contribute to the development and delivery of accurate and polished briefs ahead of events, video presentations and communications to internal and external stakeholders across multiple channels to ensure key messages reach and engage the intended audience. Develop dashboards and reports, evaluate communication products and events, report on outcomes and make recommendations to management that inform executive decision-making and drive continuous improvement. Deliver stakeholder focused communications to enable effective outcomes of organisational strategies and build stakeholder engagement. Collaborate across teams so that executive priorities are understood and embedded. Contribute to the planning and design of communications and engagement strategies to enable effective execution across multiple channels and evaluation of strategies to support the business to successfully deliver key milestones and outcomes. Maintain awareness of organisation-wide priorities, issues, industry best-practice, new technologies and make recommendations to inform continuous improvement and decision-making. Key skills and experience to be successful Proven track record in delivering in-person, digital broadcast and hybrid events. A minimum of 4-years event management experience is required. Strong technical skills and experience with online events, working with external providers, venues and suppliers. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple stakeholder relationships at all levels of seniority. High attention to detail, organisation and prioritisation.
