Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned
HR Manager
with extensive experience in the
IT industry
, capable of leading and strengthening core HR functions. The role requires a strategic HR professional with
no direct experience in Recruitment or Talent Acquisition
, but strong expertise in employee lifecycle management, HR operations, compliance, performance management, and organizational development.
The incumbent will act as a key partner to leadership, ensuring HR policies, processes, and practices are aligned with business objectives and compliant with statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
HR Operations & Policy Management
- Design, implement, and manage HR policies, SOPs, and frameworks aligned with IT industry best practices.
- Ensure smooth execution of end-to-end employee lifecycle processes (onboarding to exit), excluding recruitment activities.
- Drive consistency and standardization across HR processes and documentation.
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Act as the primary point of contact for employee relations, grievances, and conflict resolution.
- Foster a positive work culture and high employee engagement through structured initiatives and programs.
- Advise managers on employee conduct, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans.
Performance Management
- Own and manage the performance management system (goal setting, mid-year reviews, annual appraisals).
- Partner with business leaders to ensure effective performance tracking and development planning.
- Drive performance calibration and merit/bonus processes.
Compensation, Benefits & Payroll Coordination
- Manage compensation structures, salary revisions, incentives, and benefits administration.
- Coordinate with payroll teams/vendors to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
- Support leadership with compensation benchmarking and internal parity analysis.
Statutory Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws, IT industry regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Manage audits, inspections, and statutory filings in coordination with external consultants.
- Maintain accurate HR records, employee files, and compliance documentation.
Learning, Development & Capability Building
- Identify training needs and drive learning & development initiatives for employees and managers.
- Support leadership development and succession planning programs.
HR Analytics & Reporting
- Prepare and present HR MIS, dashboards, and insights for senior management.
- Track key HR metrics related to attrition, engagement, performance, and compliance.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 15–18 years of overall HR experience
- within the
- IT / IT Services industry
- .
- Proven experience in
- core HR, HR operations, employee relations, compliance, and performance management
- .
- No prior experience in Recruitment or Talent Acquisition
- (mandatory).
- Strong understanding of Indian labor laws and statutory compliance.
- Experience working closely with senior leadership and business stakeholders.
