Job Title: Technology Head - Broking business (InCred Capital)

Grade - VP / Associate Director

The Head of IT will be responsible for the seamless availability, reliability, and regulatory compliance of the InCred Capital’s trading ecosystem. This is a high-stakes role requiring a candidate who can manage vendor-driven platforms (OMS/RMS/Back-office) while ensuring robust operational processes that cater to the needs of institutional desks and retail traders.

Key responsibilities

  1. Platform & Vendor Management

 End-to-End Ownership: Oversee the stability and performance of trading platforms (Institutional and Retail), including Order Management Systems (OMS), Risk Management Systems (RMS), Client Onboarding, Risk Management and Back-office suites.

 Vendor Governance: Act as the primary point of contact for key vendors (e.g., Omnesys, Financial Technologies, Greeksoft, TrackWizz, LD, Shilpi, or similar).

 SLA Management: Hold vendors accountable for uptime, patch management, and the delivery of critical exchange-mandated updates.

  1. Process Excellence & Tech Ops
  •  Operational Resilience: Establish and monitor daily "Run the Bank" checklists (Pre- market readiness, Intraday monitoring, Post-market EOD processing).
  •  Incident Management: Lead the response to technical outages or trade-flow disruptions, ensuring resolution and transparent stakeholder communication.
  •  Change Management: Implement processes for deploying updates to avoid business disruption during market hours.
  1. Cross-Functional Collaboration
  •  Internal Liaison: Work closely with the Head of Infrastructure (for low-latency connectivity/colocation) and Head of InfoSec (for secure access and data protection).
  •  Product Partnership: Provide technical feasibility inputs to the Product Team to ensure new features align with the current architecture and regulatory constraints.
  1. Compliance & Regulatory Oversight
  •  Exchange Audits: Lead technical audits conducted by SEBI, NSE, BSE, and MCX.
  •  Regulatory Reporting: Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of data flow for regulatory filings (e.g., trade reporting, client data submissions).
  •  Knowledge: Maintain an up-to-date understanding of SEBI circulars regarding algorithmic trading, cybersecurity frameworks for brokers, and system audit requirements.

Qualifications

Experience & Qualifications

  •  Professional Experience: 12–15+ years in Capital Markets technology, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within an Indian brokerage.
  •  Domain Expertise: Track record in managing both Institutional Equities (CTCL, FIX protocol, DMA) and Retail/HNI Broking (Internet Trading, Mobile Apps).
  •  Vendor Knowledge: Familiarity with the Indian vendor landscape and the nuances of their APIs and integration hurdles.
  •  Scale: Experience in a "growing" organization—someone who has scaled systems from thousands to hundreds of thousands of concurrent users.

Technical Competencies

  •  Understanding of Trading Workflows (Order-to-Cash).
  •  Familiarity with database management and high-volume data processing.
  •  Strong grasp of BCP/DR (Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery) drills specific to exchange requirements.

Soft Skills

 Calm under pressure: The ability to make executive decisions during "Flash Crash" or system outage scenarios.

 Process-Oriented: A mindset geared toward "Standard Operating Procedures" (SOPs) rather than ad-hoc fixes.
