About the Role

  • Commutec is looking for a commercially sharp, street-smart Supply & Procurement Manager who
  • combines deep knowledge of the mobility and fleet industry with the instincts of a negotiator, the
  • discipline of an analyst, and the hustle of a builder. This is not a routine vendor management role -
  • you will own PAN India supply strategy, build and run geography-based campaigns to grow fleet
  • attachment, generate your own pricing benchmarks from market data, and make spend decisions
  • that directly impact Commutec's margins and service quality.
  • You will be the bridge between the market and our operations - knowing what vendors want, what
  • clients need, and where the numbers need to land for everyone to win.
  • What You Will Own - Key Responsibilities
  1. PAN India Vendor Attachment & Supply Growth
  • Build and own the PAN India vendor and fleet attachment pipeline cities, corridors, and

vehicle categories

  • Design and execute geography-based supply campaigns within defined budgets to rapidly

acquire fleet in high-demand zones

  • Conduct market visits, competitive intelligence, and ground-level research to identify

untapped supply pools

  • Ensure vehicle availability by tier: sedan, SUV, premium, bus, and specialty vehicles as per

client demand forecasts

  • Analyse demand-supply gaps by city and trip type (ETS, BTS, outstation, airport) and close

them proactively

  1. Pricing Intelligence & Market Benchmarking
  • Build and own independent, data-driven pricing benchmarks for every city, vehicle type, and

trip category without relying on vendor quotes alone

  • Conduct continuous market research: competitor pricing, aggregator rates, local union

norms, seasonal fluctuations, and diesel/fuel benchmarks

  • Generate pricing analysis reports and recommendations that guide negotiation, vendor

onboarding decisions, and commercial strategy

  • Develop pricing models that balance competitive vendor rates with Commutec's margin

requirements

  • Identify pricing arbitrage opportunities and cost-saving levers across geographies
  1. Negotiation, Commercial & SLA Management
  • Lead commercial negotiations with vendors, fleet owners, aggregators, and transport

operators across India

  • Draft, finalize, and manage vendor commercial agreements, rate cards, and SLA frameworks
  • Ensure every vendor agreement drives cost efficiency without compromising on service

quality

  • Track SLA adherence , OTS rates, trip failure %, no-show counts, vehicle quality compliance

— and enforce corrective action

  • Drive quarterly commercial reviews with key vendors and renegotiate terms based on

volume and performance

  1. Geography-Based Supply Campaigns & Budget Management
  • Plan and execute location-specific fleet acquisition campaigns: identify target cities, set

acquisition targets, allocate budgets, and measure ROI

  • Own the supply campaign budget spend sensibly, track every rupee, and demonstrate

measurable impact in fleet attachment and cost per vehicle

  • Build city-wise supply calendars aligned to client demand seasonality, events, and growth

forecasts

  • Report campaign performance to leadership with clear metrics: vendor acquired, vehicle

attached, rate secured, time to go-live

  1. Team Building & Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Hire, onboard, and build a high-performing supply team across key markets people who can

negotiate, execute, and represent Commutec on the ground

  • Set clear KPIs and hold the team accountable to vendor acquisition, SLA performance, and

cost targets

  • Work closely with Operations, CRM, Finance, Billing, and IT to ensure vendor onboarding

translates into smooth service delivery

  • Resolve escalations from clients and internal teams related to supply gaps, vendor failures, or

service quality

  1. Technology, SOPs & Compliance
  • Train vendors on Fleetoz or equivalent fleet management platform trip acceptance, dispatch,

documentation

  • Develop and maintain SOPs for vendor onboarding, compliance checks, SLA monitoring, and

escalation handling

  • Ensure all vendor documentation (vehicle fitness, insurance, driver licence, permits) is

current and centrally tracked

  • Maintain MIS reports, vendor dashboards, pricing trackers, and performance scorecards for

leadership review

driver wages, and route costs

  • Campaign thinker- you plan supply acquisitions like marketing campaigns: targeted, time-

bound, budget-controlled

  • Spend discipline-you know the difference between investing in supply and wasting on vendor

incentives

  • Builder mindset-you're comfortable starting with a thin team and scaling it city by city

Required Skills

  • Deep knowledge of fleet operations, mobility industry, and transport vendor dynamics in

India

  • Hands-on experience in commercial negotiations, vendor contracting, and SLA management
  • Ability to generate independent pricing benchmarks from market data and competitor

intelligence

  • Proven capability to plan and execute budget-controlled, geography-based campaigns
  • Strong analytical skills Excel, MIS reporting, pricing models, and operational dashboards
  • Experience in team management and cross-functional coordination in a multi-city

environment

  • Technology-savvy comfortable with fleet management platforms, GPS tools, and operations

software

  • Excellent stakeholder management — vendors, clients, internal teams, and leadership
  • Preferred Background 5–9 years in fleet management, corporate mobility, car rental,

transport aggregation, or logistics

  • Prior experience in ETS/BTS operations or managing a PAN India vendor network
  • Experience running supply-side operations for a B2B mobility, logistics, or SaaS-driven

transport company

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field
