About The Role
JOB DESCRIPTION – FLEET MANAGER Group Company Shalina Healthcare Designation Fleet Manager Office Location Luanda, Angola Position Description Responsible for managing and coordinating the company's vehicle fleet, ensuring the availability, safety, efficiency, and proper utilization of vehicles. The position is responsible for fleet planning, maintenance, fuel management, driver supervision, documentation, cost control, compliance, and continuous improvement of fleet operations. Primary Responsibilities Manage and supervise the company's vehicle fleet; Ensure the availability and operational readiness of all vehicles; Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance schedules; Monitor vehicle maintenance, repairs, inspections, and service history; Monitor fuel consumption and identify abnormal consumption or potential losses; Control fleet-related operational costs; Ensure that all vehicles have valid insurance, registration, inspection, and other required documentation; Supervise and coordinate company drivers; Monitor vehicle utilization and ensure compliance with company policies; Maintain accurate records of vehicle mileage, fuel consumption, maintenance, repairs, and operational costs; Monitor vehicle tracking and utilization through fleet management systems, where applicable; Manage relationships with garages, suppliers, insurance companies, and other fleet service providers; Prepare regular fleet performance and cost reports; Implement measures to improve fleet efficiency and reduce operational costs; Ensure compliance with road safety requirements and internal fleet procedures. Additional Responsibilities Develop and maintain preventive maintenance plans for all vehicles; Support the procurement, replacement, disposal, and renewal of fleet vehicles; Investigate vehicle accidents, incidents, damages, and misuse; Coordinate the recovery and repair of vehicles involved in accidents; Monitor driver performance and compliance with company procedures; Conduct or coordinate regular vehicle inspections; Ensure that drivers have valid driving licences and required documentation; Support the implementation of driver safety and defensive driving programs; Identify opportunities for fleet optimization and cost reduction; Maintain an updated fleet database and asset records; Liaise with Finance, Procurement, HR, Operations, and other departments regarding fleet requirements. Work Environment Details The position is primarily office-based but requires regular interaction with vehicles, drivers, workshops, garages, suppliers, and operational locations. The role may involve exposure to outdoor and workshop environments and may require travel between company locations. Availability outside normal working hours may occasionally be required to respond to vehicle breakdowns, accidents, or other fleet-related emergencies. Specific Requirements Travel Regular travel between company offices, stores, warehouses, workshops, and other operational locations may be required. Vehicle A valid driving licence is required. Previous experience driving company or commercial vehicles will be an advantage. Work Permit Required for foreign candidates, where applicable, in accordance with Angolan legislation. Other Details Proven experience in fleet or transport management; Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and operational requirements; Strong understanding of fuel management and cost control; Ability to supervise and manage drivers; Ability to negotiate with garages and service providers; Experience with GPS/fleet tracking systems will be an advantage; Strong commitment to road safety and compliance. Other Details Pay Rate To be determined based on experience, qualifications, and the company's salary structure. Contract Types Permanent Employment Contract, subject to applicable legal requirements and company approval. Time Constraints Full-time position, with working hours based on operational requirements and availability to respond to fleet-related emergencies when required.
