Assistant Manager – BBPS Operations

Role Overview We are looking for an experienced BBPS Operations professional to manage merchant/biller onboarding, operational governance, compliance, and team management. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in the BBPS ecosystem and preferably come from a BBPS OU, Bank, Payment Aggregator, FinTech, or Payment Service Provider. Key Responsibilitie s Manage end-to-end merchant/biller onboarding, KYC, due diligence, documentation, and maker-checker processes. Ensure compliance with NPCI BBPS guidelines, RBI regulations, and internal policies. Coordinate CPV, third-party verification, risk assessments, and onboarding approvals. Work with Product, Technology, Compliance, Risk, Business, Finance, and Partner teams for smooth onboarding and activation. Track TATs, SLAs, activation, quality, and audit observations. Support UAT, production releases, incident management, RCA, and audits. Prepare MIS and dashboards using Advanced Excel; Power BI/SQL knowledge is an advantage. Define SOPs, operational controls, KPIs, and process improvements. Manage partner escalations and lead/mentor the BBPS Operations team. Requirements Graduate in any discipline; MBA preferred. 8–10 years of relevant experience in BBPS/payment operations. Strong knowledge of BBPS lifecycle, KYC, onboarding, due diligence, and regulatory compliance. Strong stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, and MIS. Experience in BBPS OU, Bank, Payment Aggregator, FinTech, or regulated payment business preferred.
