Planning Supervisor - New Johnsonville, TN

JOB SUMMARY The planning supervisor will assist in managing employees performing supply chain activities along with developing and implementing policies and procedures and setting operational goals. Actively monitoring and ensuring operational schedules are managed and maintained along with managing incoming supply of outsourced product is essential to daily tasks. This role requires advanced forecasting demand generation and allocation experience. The supervisor role should be able to lead, guide and motivate the team to drive service excellence behaviors. Essential Functions Manage, develop and motivate planning employees. Implement policies and procedures. Generate forecasting metrics for strategic accounts. Streamline procurement processes, remove barriers, and support internal customer requirements Monitor planning team scheduling and order processing. Perform data verification prior to submission to downstream teams to ensure the highest standards of quality and reliability. Communicate daily with sales and customer service regarding customer needs. Drive efficiencies, develop strategies and influence performance results on key metrics Apply manufacturing planning knowledge to create factory production plans to optimize both desired supply and factory operations.
