About The Role
Your role
As a working student in the Finance Department, you will play a key role in our day-to-day financial operations. You will directly support our accountant, handling essential tasks that keep our finance functions running smoothly. This role is perfect for a student with an interest in accounting and finance who enjoys working with data and wants to gain practical, hands-on experience by contributing to the team’s daily workflow.

Key responsibilities
Daily Accounting Operations
- Support day-to-day accounting tasks, including processing invoices and managing accounts payable and receivable.
- Assist the accountant with month-end closing activities and financial reporting.
- Ensure all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
Data & Process Management
- Maintain and organize financial databases and spreadsheets, ensuring high data accuracy and integrity.
- Monitor financial data to identify discrepancies or errors.
- Proactively handle administrative finance tasks to support the team’s efficiency.

- You are highly reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently on recurring tasks.
- You have a strong interest in understanding how accounting and finance processes work in practice.
- You are comfortable handling data and have a good grasp of Excel or similar spreadsheet software.
- What you add to our crew
- Currently enrolled in at least the fourth semester of a Bachelor’s or a Master’s program in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Basic understanding of financial principles and accounting practices.
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Have availability for a minimum of 1 year.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, with a minimum proficiency level of B1/B2 in German and English required for this position.
- To qualify for this role, candidates are required to reside and be officially registered in Berlin, Germany.
